Jak and Daxter Collection to Hit Store Shelves on February 7

Fans of Naughty Dog’s popular franchise will be able to relive their favorite games in high-definition, as the Jak and Daxter Collection is all set to launch exclusively for the PS3 on February 7, 2012. This bundle will comprise the first three installments of the Jak and Daxter series and will retail at a price of 39.99 USD.

According to a post on the official PlayStation blog, these games have been fully re-mastered to display 720p HD visuals in stereoscopic 3D (on compatible screens). Moreover, PSN Trophies will also be seen making their way into these titles. The developer has revealed that each Trophy has been crafted to feature unique variation on a design theme based around its mission type. Collectively, over one hundred Trophies form a part of this collection.

“When the series debuted on PS2 over 10 years ago, we didn’t have Trophies. For our jump to PS3, Mass Media crafted custom Trophies for you to earn for all three titles in the collection. The team at Mass Media has created intricate Trophies, each featuring a unique variation on a design theme based around its mission type. There are over 100 to collect including three Platinum Trophies, so you completionists will have hours of Trophy-hunting fun to look forward to,” shared Evan Wells, Co-President, Naughty Dog, on the blog.

This pack of games is supposed to include Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy which was launched way back in 2001 for the PS2. Moreover, Jak II which was released in 2003 for the same platform also enters this collection along with Jak 3 which came out the next year.

The Jak and Daxter Collection which will arrive in stores on February 7 can be pre-ordered now for the PS3 at a price of 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,000).
