Borderlands 2 highlights This Week’s PS3 Releases

This week sees the PS3 releases being headlined by the much awaited Borderlands 2 which will be distributed via retail as well as through PSN. The only other game arriving on store shelves is F1 2012, while new titles hitting the PS Store this week include Jet Set Radio, SSX, Zuma’s Revenge as well as two PS2 Classics, Harvest Moon It’s A Wonderful Life: Special Edition and River King.

Borderlands 2 acts as a sequel to the original title which has grabbed extreme popularity among gamers ever since its 2009 launch. This first-person shooter series is known for its use of a number of role-playing elements and its co-op offerings. It will be made available in stores and through PSN. F1 2012 also gets a release today. It contains new features that include a mode named Young Driver Test which is inspired from the sport’s real-life testing program for amateurs.

Jet Set Radio, the remake of Sega’s classic platformer, will be hitting the PS Store this week. Widescreen HD graphics, online leaderboards and a new camera system are some of new additions to it. Zuma’s Revenge and SSX are the other two games slated to hit PSN today along with the two PS2 Classics, namely Harvest Moon It’s A Wonderful Life: Special Edition and River King. Moreover, there’s even a PS mini lined up for release in the form of Feisty Feed.

Lastly, this week’s PS3 releases also include free demos of Damage Inc., Resident Evil 6 and Zuma’s Revenge. We’ll have the pricing information of all the above mentioned games tomorrow.
