Borderlands 2 Season Pass Announced

A Borderlands 2 Season Pass has been revealed by 2K Games and Gearbox Software with an aim to provide gamers with a discount on four campaign DLC packs slated to arrive for the title post its launch. This deal will be available for all three platforms that the game is supposed to arrive on, and will offer buyers about 10 USD (approx. Rs. 555) of savings on the four add-ons, as opposed to purchasing them separately.

These campaign DLC packs will be seen adding several hours of gameplay to the title. Moreover, they will even contain fresh adventures, allies, enemies and environments. They will each sell for 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 555) or 800 Microsoft Points. This way, purchasing all of them separately will set gamers back by 39.96 USD (approx. Rs. 2,225). But those who buy the 29.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,670) will get all the content for that price, thus guaranteeing about 10 USD (approx. Rs. 555) of savings.

Gamers must note that this content does not comprise the Mechromancer class or the other items that will be doled out as pre-order bonuses. They will get them even without the Season Pass provided they reserve their copies beforehand. The title sells in the form of a standard version as well as two special editions that offer added in-game and real-world content. The video posted below showcases the difference in visuals that will be experienced when the game will be played on PCs using the GTX PhysX technology.

The Borderlands 2 Season Pass will be made available for purchase at a price of 29.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,670) on the same day as the game’s release date, which falls on September 18, 2012.
