Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat Comes to PS3 This Week

Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat is all set to release this week for the PS3, along with a number of PSN titles. A new PS Vita offering named Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention is also to launch tomorrow for the handheld through retail as well as via PSN.

Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat

Based on the much loved television series, Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat pits two warriors from different civilization eras against each other in order to decide who’d win. It is actually a combination of two Deadliest Warrior games namely, Deadliest Warrior: The Game and Deadliest Warrior: Legends. Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention is a turn-based strategy RPG, which involves the journey of a student named Mao, who studies at Evil Academy, a school where the tardiest, laziest, and rudest demons receive the highest marks.

NHL 12, which came out through retail in September last year, will also be launching through PSN tomorrow for the PS3. Other PS3 offerings include the Arcade classic, The House of the Dead 4 and Dead Rising 2: Off The Record which is a reimagining of Capcom’s much loved Dead Rising 2 that had been outed for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC way back in September 2010. For PS Vita owners, there’s StarDrone Extreme which will also be released via tomorrow’s PS Store update. Said to contain high-speed physics and pinball action, this game will even have a free demo going live on the service when it launches tomorrow.

Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention

So Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat and Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention are the only new PS3 releases which will hit store shelves this week.
