The stick lever will be usable for performing three different functions, those of the right analog, the left analog and the directional pad. Furthermore, this fightstick is said to feature a wide body and heavy weight which help it create a stable platform. Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown will be released as a downloadable offering for the PS3 as well as the Xbox 360 later this year. It is said to kick in fresh features as well as new character costumes and animations.

The original title, Virtua Fighter 5 was first launched on Arcades way back in 2006, following which it made its way to the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2007. It is the latest in the series of Virtua Fighter games having released throughout the years under Sega’s hit franchise.

The pricing and availability details of the Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown PS3 Fightstick are yet to be revealed by Hori, but it has been confirmed that the device will be outed in North America this summer.
