The House of the Dead 4 to Hit PSN Next Month

The House of the Dead 4 has already been released on Arcades, but now the title is all set to haunt the PS3 systems as it will be launched by Sega through PSN in April. This rail shooter will feature PS Move support, and will also come equipped with bonus PSN exclusive content.

The game involves a simple mission which requires players to step into the shoes of AMS Agents James Taylor or Kate Green, in order to save the world. They will be needed to fight against an old enemy as well as hordes of other evil creatures. Familiar guns and grenades will be at their disposal during these missions. Ahead of the title’s release, its free demo is also slated to go live on PSN, a post on the official PlayStation blog has revealed.

“We will be releasing an early demo on April 10th. This demo will be available for two weeks (4/10-4/24) exclusively to PlayStation Plus members. For a limited time only (4/17-5/1), Plus members will also have access to a 30% discount on the full game. What else? We will also be offering Plus members an exclusive PS3 dynamic theme and avatars to help set the mood,” posted Mai Kawaguchi, Sr. Digital Brand Manager, Sega, on the blog.

The House of the Dead 4 will include multiplayer support, allowing two players to jump into its missions together. It will offer a ranking and grading system to track the shot accuracy of players. Moreover, an original creator interview, a bonus unlockable PS Home item, trophies and additional levels will form part of the game. The earlier title in this series – The House of the Dead 3 was also released through PSN recently with similar offerings.

The House of the Dead 4 will come out for the PS3 on April 17, 2012, and will retail at a price of 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 500).
