The new characters disclosed yesterday include Heihachi Mishima and Toro Inoue. Coming from the popular Tekken franchise, Mishima is one of the only five characters to have featured in every title from the series since 1995. Toro Inoue, dubbed the Sony Cat, has been acting as the company’s official mascot in Japan for more than a decade now. He has appeared in several of Sony’s video games before.

“Toro brings a unique stance-based fighting style to PlayStation All-Stars, affording him several different sets of attacks to utilize in combat. He transitions seamlessly from a close-range fighter in his Justice form, to a ranged specialist in his Torobi form, to an effective wide-area controller in his Oni form. All the while, Toro’s fun-loving charm comes through in every action he performs. Be sure to check him out!” Daniel Maniago, Community Manager, SuperBot Entertainment, wrote on the official PlayStation blog.

It has also been revealed that those who pre-order the title from select retailers prior to its release will be able to unlock multiple costumes for each character within the game. These will be exclusive to only those who pre-order the game, and will be available at launch. Although only ten characters have been unveiled so far, the names of more will be disclosed later on.
