PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Revealed for PS3

Well, Sony it seems has come up with its own Super Smash Bros., as its PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has just been revealed to be a mash up of characters from the PlayStation universe. Until now, the characters confirmed to form part of the game include Kratos, Fat Princess, PaRappa the Rapper, Sweet Tooth and Sly Cooper. Calling it a ‘labor of love,’ the developer hailed this title to be a celebration of a storied history of much loved characters and worlds brought together in one game. SuperBot Entertainment has also disclosed that the decision to turn this mash up into a brawler was taken as all the developers at the studio are fond of fighting games.

“There are probably a few types of games that can be enjoyed by four players simultaneously, but for us at SuperBot, a brawler was the obvious choice for one really good reason: the developers here at SuperBot really like fighting games. We love playing them and we love making them. With PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, we set out to make an experience accessible enough for all PlayStation fans to enjoy while also creating something deep enough for the serious fighting game aficionado,” Omar Kendall, Game Director, SuperBot Entertainment, wrote on the official PlayStation blog.
