Adding to the string of compilations under the PlayStation Collections program, Sony has taken the veil off one more such bundle which comes in the form of the Resistance Collection. It will include the trio of main games from the franchise – all of which have been previously released only for the PS3 – alongside certain DLC packs of the last two games.
Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2 and Resistance 3 are the three games included in the bundle. For the second title, its Aftermath Pack and skin bundle will be included, while the third and latest PS3 game will comprise its Brutality and Survival Packs. The price of this value for money pack has been placed at 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,065).
The initial game was released in 2006 as a launch title for the PS3, and since there was no Trophy system at that time, it does not contain the said feature. No plans have been announced by the developer as yet about introducing Trophies through this collection. Its sequel came out in 2008, and was followed by another title in 2011.
Developed by Insomniac Games exclusively for PlayStation devices, the series is known for its post-apocalyptic scenarios as well as its unique weapons. It even has two spin-off titles to its credit. These include Resistance: Retribution and Resistance: Burning Skies which have been released for the PSP and the PS Vita, respectively.
The Resistance Collection hasn’t been given a release yet by Sony. It has however been confirmed to be slated to launch this year.
