We knew something was cooking when rumors of the God of War Saga came along, but what we didn’t know is that this set is part of a PlayStation Collections line which also includes other game bundles. The already-revealed Ratchet & Clank Collection has been added to the lineup, but another interesting entry is the inFamous Collection.
As expected, the God of War Saga contains all the main titles that have been released under the franchise till date. These include the original game, two of its sequels as well as the Origins Collection which comprises HD versions of the two God of War PSP games. Priced at 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,220), this set will even offer exclusive bonus content and a 1 month trial of PS Plus.
Cristian Cardona, Associate Product Marketing Manager, Software Marketing, wrote on the official PlayStation blog, “Come August 28th, you’ll be able to pick these beauties up starting at $29.99! They not only come with some of the best and most memorable games in the PlayStation family, they’re also packed with a few additional goodies to make it worth your hard-earned cash. For longtime fans who may already have a few installments of these franchises, select titles from the Collections will also be available individually — without the extras — on the PlayStation Store.”
Next in the PlayStation Collections offering is the inFamous Collection which will comprise inFamous, inFamous 2 as well as the Festival of Blood standalone downloadable. Extra missions, additional character costumes, power ups and weapon styles have also been revealed to be bundled along with them. This set will also go for 39.99 USD. As Cardona mentioned above, all these collections will be up for grabs through PSN as well.
The PlayStation Collections line will be introduced with the God of War Saga, the inFamous Collection and the Ratchet & Clank Collection on August 28. More such bundles are set to follow, assured Sony.
