Two classic PS2 titles ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are supposed to release for the PS3 this September. With just over a month left for the release, developers have announced on the PlayStation blog that ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection will feature bonus content in the form of themes and videos.
The bundle will include a voucher consisting of two XMB Dynamic Themes for each of the games. Furthermore, the disc will also contain video content from both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. Gamers eager to catch a glimpse of the upcoming PS3 exclusive The Last Guardian would be treated with video content from the title also included in the bundle.
A few days back it was also announced that both the titles would be rendered in full 1080p HD on the PS3. Moreover, they will also support stereoscopic 3D support and 7.1 surround sound. PSN Trophies too would be available with both the games.
ICO, which is also the name of the protagonist of the title, involves a young boy born with horns and who is considered as a bad omen by people in his village. He hence is locked into a castle where he meets the Queen’s daughter Yorda. The game follows their adventures in the castle as he attempts to save the girl from the Queens evil plans.
Shadow of the Colossus takes place in a fantasy world engulfed in a vast and unpopulated peninsula known as Forbidden Land. The story follows a young man named Wander who enters the place and must travel across a vast expanse on horseback to defeat sixteen colossi and save the life of a girl named Mono.
ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection will release on September 27, 2011. However, it is now available for pre-order at a price of 39.99 USD (approx Rs. 1,779).
