A few days ago screenshots of what looked like a remastered version of last year’s Wii title GoldenEye 007 had appeared online. And it seems the speculations surrounding them were indeed true. Activision recently announced that an HD version of GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is gearing up for a PS3 and Xbox 360 release this fall. Moreover, gamers will also be able to use the PS Move and its Sharp Shooter peripheral with the title.

This new game has been developed on a new engine that is touted to render ”˜striking visuals’ and a ”˜blistering fast gameplay.’ Realistic environments and HD visuals running at 60-frames per second are mainly what differentiate GoldenEye 007: Reloaded from its Wii counterpart. But that’s not the only new feature in this Bond title. Multiplayer modes also receive enhancements with 16-player online matches which can be played on more maps, weapons, characters and game modes. Its four-player split-screen feature too gets tweaks ahead of the release.
“Promising to be one of the most immersive and interactive Bond games to date, this is an outstanding opportunity for PlayStation fans to experience one of the most iconic and action-packed shooters in an all new way with PlayStation Move and the Sharp Shooter peripheral. By bringing together GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, and PlayStation Move’s Sharp Shooter, we are continuing to expand the new world of motion-based entertainment appealing for hardcore fans and only possible on PlayStation,” revealed, Rob Dyer, Senior Vice President, Sony Computer Entertainment of America.
The game adds fresh ”˜Mi6 Ops Missions’ which consist of new levels apart from those in the campaign mode. These missions are based on ”˜varied environments from the story’ and include objectives that require players to use assault, elimination, stealth and defense tactics.
Developed by Eurocom under license from EON Productions and MGM Studios, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is expected to arrive this fall for thePS3 and Xbox 360.
