Activision Publishing has announced the launch of a virtual destination in which players can join up and rock, in the PlayStation Home for the PlayStation 3. Meanwhile, the Guitar Hero catalog is poised to providing new music throughout April.
The PlayStation Home is a revolutionary 3D social gaming community on the PS3 allowing users to create avatars and decorate their avatar’s personal apartment or ‘HomeSpace’. Users are able to interact with others on this community while exploring the 3D world which is done all in third person view.
‘Backstage with Guitar Hero’ lets Guitar Hero fans around the world have VIP access to a themed backstage lounge and a colossal concert venue where players can meet up and check out videos for yet to be released titles from the franchise. Players can even share with one another, their rock and roll secrets.
Activision says that the ‘Backstage with Guitar Hero’ feature on PlayStation Home is continually evolving and will get better with time, adding new functionality.
