Back in October, we reported that Frogger Returns would step onto the PSN and Nintendo WiiWare this autumn. Now Konami Digital Entertainment brings to the PlayStation Network the popular game Frogger Returns. The title is the new installment of the retro arcade game. Players can espy the downloadable format of the title from the PSN.
Frogger Returns sees gamers rising up to the challenge of delivering Frogger safely to his desired destination by using dodge-and-run techniques. They have to help the little green amphibian out of the dangerous city streets and into the safe marshland. While doing so, players have to be careful to avoid loads of obstacles that are strewn along the path. These include hindrances like busy streets, subways and sewers. Gamers will be aided with new power-ups in the form of time freeze, time reverse and invincibility. These power-ups can be used on the different environments in order to get Frogger to the marshlands safely.
Frogger Returns is packed with a 3D appearance, better graphics, multiple levels and even a new camera angle. The game also come complete with local multiplayer elements and sports nearly 12 times the content that was earlier featured in the original iteration. Players can take part in timed challenges and capture-the-pad races. All their high scores can be espied and shown off in leaderboards.
The latest title can be found on the PSN for a price of $4.99 (approx. Rs.232). Frogger Returns hits the Nintendo WiiWare for 500 points.
