Sony Launches Two New Quiz Games for India

Previously Sony has released India specific games such as Hanuman and Desi Adda. Now Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced the launch of World Quiz and Medical & Engineering Joint Entrance Quiz, targeted at the ever-growing student community in India. The 2 new India-based quiz games have been developed by Bangalore-based video game development studio, Candella, and will be available for the PS2 platform only.

Two New Quiz Games for India

Mr. Atindriya Bose – Country Manager – Playstation, Sony Computer Entertainment, stated, “We recognise importance of education in Indian life. These games allow using a device like PlayStation to bring interactivity and fun in the informal practice sessions of different educational curriculums.”

The game ‘World Quiz’ caters to students from standard V to X, and features topics ranging from Economics to Geography, History to Mathematics, Politics to Entertainment, Logic to Sports, Art to IT, Heritage and Famous places. The company even suggests that the game could help those studying to take the IAS/IPS exams. The second game ‘Medical & Engineering Joint Entrance Quiz’ is designed for aspirants from the Medical and Engineering background. It has questions based on the Physical Sciences – Physics and Chemistry, Mathematics – Geometry and Algebra, and the Biological Sciences – Botany and Zoology.

These games have been developed by a team of professionals and feature innovative and interactive methods for learning. Both games have two modes, Exam Mode and Practice Mode. In Exam Mode, players must answer 60 random questions in 60 minutes, while in Practice Mode 400 questions are presented for players to answer.

The World Quiz game and the Medical & Engineering Joint Entrance Quiz game will be exclusively available for the PS2 and will cost Rs. 499 each.
