Recently we saw EA launch a Facebook game for its much anticipated Dante’s Inferno, which lets users send others to hell. Now Electronic Arts has launched a Need for Speed Nitro social application on the Facebook platform. The game is fun and interactive and can be experienced by players and everyone else in their social network.
Need for Speed Nitro on Facebook, as it is called, lets you compete against your friends and others by collecting cars from all classes. Players must win stars to unlock cities in the Facebook game. Players can even improve their “Driving Skills” on each car such as shifting, drafting, cornering, drifting, and evasion, and also use Nitro-specific power-ups to get the better of their rivals.
The company says this is not intended as a replacement for the Wii or DS game, but will bring some favourite elements of the console game to the social media site. The social app features full 3D models of the cars, plus some exotic cities and tracks. Player can choose a car from their garage, decide how much of each power-up to use, and then take it out to compete against up to three opponents.
