‘Go to Hell’ Social Gaming Application from Visceral Games Available

Dante’s Inferno from EA is undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated titles of 2010. Now Visceral Games has announced an all new social application, called ‘Go to Hell’, inspired by the upcoming video game, Dante’s Inferno. The free application brings the poem’s nine circles of hell into everyday life, and has launched on the Facebook platform.

“This app is awesome! Not only will it be a blast to see who the world sends to hell, but it’s also a great opportunity to take Dante’s notion of the 9 circles of hell and make it current and relevant for people who may not be familiar with the poem,” exclaimed Executive Producer Jonathan Knight. “Let the damning begin.”

The ‘Go to Hell’ application lets people send others to the nine circles of hell, Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Anger, Heresy, Violence, Fraud or Treachery. Then they can choose to either punish or absolve their victim. The app comes with a ‘Hell Browser’ which acts as a snapshot of all the activity in hell on a day-to-day basis.

Facebook users can now access the app, while iPhone users will be able to access the free application soon, via the Apple App Store. Dante’s Inferno releases February 9, 2010 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP.
