The Rock Band game centering on the career of The Beatles arrives this September and to promote that, Xbox 360, Apple Corp, MTV Games and Harmonix have revealed that starting at launch, Xbox 360 will give users the opportunity to download an exclusive track, as well as a chance to test their Beatles knowledge and to receive an exclusive Beatles T-shirt for their avatar.
The Beatles’ All You Need Is Love will be released exclusively for Xbox 360 users, who will be able to download it via Xbox Live on September 9, 2009. The proceeds will benefit Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). The track will be available for 160 Microsoft Points. Plus Xbox Live members will be able to watch music videos, documentaries and movies based on the “Fab Four”. Additionally, The Beatles: Rock Band owners will be able to download the entire Abbey Road album from October 20, 2009 onwards.
Fans can even challenge themselves in a unique “1 vs 100 Live” episode using their Beatles knowledge. Fans will be able to have live chats with the minds behind the game and test their knowledge of the band, and even win some Microsoft Points for the effort. Fans and gamers will also get a chance to join the “Fab Four Mystery Tour”, which will come soon. The Fab Four Mystery Tour is an innovative and interactive look at The Beatles’ career.
Fans who can’t wait to rock out as their favourite Beatle can get a small playing sample of the game at The Beatles LOVE, Cirque du Soleil show at The Mirage in Las Vegas.
