Silent Hunter is the series of submarine simulation PC games from Ubisoft. Now the French developer and publisher has announced the next installment of the highly acclaimed series, Silent Hunter 5. The game takes players into deep waters through the periscope of a German U-boat, as they take on the allied forces across the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.
The series has sold almost 1.5 million copies globally. In fact, Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific was a great addition to the most award winning submarine series, being named ‘Simulation Game of the Year’ in 2007 by PC Gamer.
Silent Hunter 5 allows players to walk through the submarine and see the sights in first person view. Players can even interact with crew members and experience the fear and hostility inside the U-boat. Choosing a war strategy becomes simple with the new objective-driven dynamic campaign. The game also features a new user interface with which players can command the warship on their own.
Silent Hunter 5 brings in a very realistic cinematic experience with its detailed U-boats and fierce fights. The game is developed by Ubisoft Romania and is expected to release in early 2010 for the PC.
