Skyrim Special Edition announced for PS4, Xbox One and PC

All those rumors about The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim being remastered for the PS4 and the Xbox One are true, and the game has also chosen the PC platform for this revisit. Dubbed the Special Edition, this version will be released on October 28.

The most important addition that this version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will come with is support for mods. While PC gamers have been enjoying these since a pretty long time, those with consoles will for the first time be able to indulge in mods.

However there will be some limitations here, as the mods on consoles will only be released once they are passed by Bethesda. As for the visuals, they will include fresh graphical effects, remastered art, volumetric god rays, dynamic depth of field, screen space reflections, new snow shaders and new water shaders.

Like we said, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be released for the PS4, the Xbox One and PC on October 28. The price of this upgraded version is still to be revealed.
