Skyrim coming to PS4 and Xbox One? Bethesda’s website says so

While the developers over at Bethesda Game Studios are probably busy creating Fallout 4, some of them are possibly working on porting Skyrim to the PS4 and the Xbox One. This piece of news broke out after the Bethesda’s website started affixing names of the two next-gen consoles to the list of platforms this game is available for.

The listing is still there on the site, and yet, no official word on the subject has come via the developers. And there’s something more to the whole tale. Apparently, emails have been sent by Bethesda announcing that something big is going to be announced on January 12. While this email was being believed to be related to a Fallout 4 reveal, it now seems that the next-gen version of Skyrim could be showcased after all.

If so, Skyrim will be following in the footsteps of Tomb Raider with regards to releasing an enhanced edition for the PS4 and the Xbox One. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released back in 2011 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, and had grabbed tremendous acclaim for its action-RPG offerings and overall atmosphere.

Whatever happens on January 12, we’ll make sure to let you know about it. So stay tuned to our site to see whether it’s the next-gen Skyrim game or the immensely anticipated Fallout 4.
