Deus Ex: The Fall teased for June 5 reveal

Eidos Montreal might be busy with the Thief reboot at the moment, but the studio’s big size it seems is ensuring that Deus Ex: The Fall, the next entry to the highly successful sci-fi series is under development currently as well. Or so we believe, for the company has been teasing it through its official Twitter account since yesterday. And as a new Vine video clip from the feed suggests, fans can expect an announcement as early as on June 5.

Deus Ex: The Fall

The teases started coming in after the discovery of a few domains bearing the game’s title. As Superannuation had pointed out recently, domains that include DeusExTheFall.net, DeusExTheFall.com and DeusExTheFall.co.uk were registered by the makers. Last week had also seen a trademark filing for the words Human Defiance suffixed after the name of the franchise, but as it turned out, it was for the upcoming movie, and not related to any game. With no official word on the matter, Eidos Montreal’s tweets came as a welcome surprise for fans. When the buzz was at its peak, the studio tweeted this:

This more than confirmed that it is up to something. And all doubts were then laid to rest when the developer’s Twitter account later posted the Vine video clip which we’ve embedded in the space below. We’re not sure what we’ll be getting to see on June 5, but this much is enough to keep us stoked till then. It will be the fourth game from the series which has seen three consecutive critically acclaimed gems till now.

Latest among them was Human Revolution which had come out in 2011, and had managed to garner widespread acclaim for its gameplay. It is available now for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac, while it’s also scheduled to make its way to the Wii U soon. The developer’s other title, the Thief reboot is set to be revealed in its entirety soon as well, presumably at E3. It is a next-gen entry to another much revered series, and is slated to come out in 2014.
