South Park: The Stick of Truth Detailed

South Park: The Game was finally confirmed to be South Park: The Stick of Truth at the E3, and here we are with a first look at this role-playing game coming from Obsidian Entertainment, the maker of Fallout: New Vegas. There have been titles based on the extremely revered TV series before, but none of them touched on the RPG genre, and neither were they from a AAA developer.

South Park: The Stick of Truth 1

Gamers will be spawned into the wacky town of South Park as ”˜the new kid,’ and will face the challenge of making friends. The title’s story begins when the children of South Park get enmeshed in a city-wide, live-action-role-playing game which has them casting imaginary spells and swinging fake swords. As time passes, this game evolves into a battle of good and evil that threatens to devour the entire world.

Gamers will be armed with legendary weapons, as they strive to get the better of crabpeople, underpants gnomes, hippies and other forces of evil. The task at hand will be earning a place at the side of Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny as their new friend and succeeding in being South Park’s savior which will consequently strengthen their social status in South Park Elementary.
