Skyrim Dragonborn DLC release date revealed with Trailer

The Skyrim Dragonborn DLC release date has been set for December 4 by Bethesda, confirming the existence of such an add-on following a leak which took place in the mid of October. PS3 gamers can start whining once again, as there are no signs of this piece of content being aimed at the console, and nor are there any reports of earlier packs like Dawnguard and Hearthfire coming to the platform anytime soon. Player outrage over this was addressed by the developer recently by mentioning that technical difficulties with Sony’s console are hindering the process of bringing the content to it.

Skyrim Dragonborn DLC

Coming towards the new Dragonborn DLC, it is all set to be the third bit of additional content to be doled out for the game’s Xbox 360 and PC versions. The most important highlight of it seems to be the fact that – as speculated before – dragon mounts will be included in it. This has been confirmed by the trailer we’ve embedded below. However, whether the dragons will be controllable or not, still remains a mystery.

As can be acquired from the video, Solstheim is the new location where this DLC will be set. Present at the East of Skyrim and the North of Morrowind, this location was last seen in the Bloodmoon expansion for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. The voice-over in the trailer has revealed that the title Dragonborn refers to a dangerously powerful entity known as the Dragonbeast. It wants to arrive at Solstheim in order to consume all dragons once again.

This game was launched to thundering acclaim and incredible commercial success in November last year for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, with the latter version also receiving an official mods portal recently in the form of the Steam Workshop. Its open world, RPG brilliance was amplified further by the Dawnguard expansion which came out in June this year. This was followed by the launch of the relatively small Hearthfire content which allowed gamers to construct houses and raise children.
