Square Enix announced that Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume will be released in Europe and across the PAL territories in April this year. Apparently, the game will be released exclusively for the Nintendo DS system.

This new installment of the critically acclaimed Valkyrie Profile series is perfectly suitable for portable gaming and we hope fans will enjoy its tactical gameplay and another engaging story,” remarked John Yamamoto, president and CEO of Square Enix Ltd.
Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume narrates the saga of the young hero Wylfred who seeks retribution against the Valkyries because Lenneth killed his father. To get his revenge on the Gods he accepts the black magic feather from Hel, the Queen of Niflheim.
Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume features a multi-layered story with the outcome drastically changing at the drop of a hat. There is a further evolution of the battle system and truly mesmerizing events and cut scenes.
Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume is developed by tri-Ace and published by Square Enix. The game is set to be released on April 3, 2009 across the PAL regions.
