The Last Of Us Remake Confirmed For PS5 And PC

The Last of Us Part 1

It’s hard to believe that The Last of Us was first released for the PS3. Following the launch of the PS4, a Remastered version of the game was released for it, and as is the trend right now, a “Remake” will now be released for the PS5. And no surprise again that it’s headed to PC near you as well.

A PS Store listing for The Last of Us Part 1 – as it’s being officially called – was spotted earlier and its trailer had also leaked online ahead of the reveal. As was revealed by both these gaffes, the game will arrive on September 2 on the PS5, though its release date for PC is unknown at the moment.

Naughty Dog has said that The Last of Us Part 1 has been “built from the ground up for PlayStation 5.” More importantly, it will feature improved AI, a department that the original game had already aced. And then of course, 60fps support will also make its way into the game, among other visual improvements.

The Last of Us Part 1 will indeed include The Left Behind DLC that was launched for the game later on. And while The Last of Us Part 2 hasn’t received any DLC of its own yet, its intended multiplayer mode has evolved into a standalone game of its own.

Naughty Dog has confirmed that a multiplayer experience set in The Last of Us universe is under development right now. According to game director Niel Druckmann, it will be as big as the studio’s single-player games and will come with a story of its own. New characters and a new location have also been confirmed. However, there’s no word on when it will be released.
