PS4’s Remote Play feature is coming to PC soon

Sony has announced that it will soon release the PS4’s promised Remote Play functionality on PC and Mac systems. This feature will be arriving along with the final firmware version 3.50. The beta for this release will begin tomorrow, however it won’t include the Remote Play functionality.

This trait will allow PS4 owners to stream their games onto their computers. They could do that with PS Vita before this, but it’s for the first time that Remote Play will be making its way to PC and Mac.

Apart from that, version 3.50 of the update will also include a notification for when a friend comes online. Another interesting addition will be the ability to appear offline to your friends.

And then there’s the facility to schedule a future gameplay session with your friends on the system. Once such an event begins, registered people will automatically be added to a party so that they can start playing right away.

The PS4 update will also include a Play Together feature which enables all members of a Party to view the game each person is playing. This will allow them to easily join a friend’s game or start a new game together.

The final trait which this update brings is the ability to livestream and archive on Dailymotion via the PS4. Sony is yet to provide us with a firm release date for the final version of this update.

Like we said, its beta will go live for testers tomorrow, but it won’t include the PS4 Remote Play functionality for PC and Mac. This feature will only be made available along with the final version of the firmware.
