Dark Souls 2 release date for PC set for April 25

Console gamers will be getting to fail relentlessly at the delightfully difficult Dark Souls 2 on March 11, but PC faithfuls don’t have the same privileges for some reason. However, it has now come to light that they won’t have to wait for long after that to get into the game. April 25 has apparently been marked down as the PC launch date for this title, according to a promotional image spotted by Siliconera.

This image also showcases a limited Collector’s Edition of Dark Souls 2. Confirmed by Bandai Namco Games to have been aimed only at South East Asia, this pack contains a t-shirt, an art book, a cloth map, Black Armor Weapon DLC set, apart from a copy of Dark Souls 2 of course. The game moreover, is also supposed to arrive on Steam on the same date.

It has been confirmed that the PC version of Dark Souls 2 will be far more superior to its console cousins. It will apparently boast of four times the graphic resolution than the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions, and will run at 60 frames per second, as revealed by Bandai Namco. Announced at the Spike Video Game Awards back in 2012, this action-RPG is set to introduce a whole new chapter in the acclaimed series which prides itself on its extreme difficulty.

Like we said, Dark Souls 2 will be released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on March 11, whereas its PC version will be coming on April 25.
