Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection #1 Releasing for PC in May

PC gamers who’ve been longing for the promised DLCs of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will at last be granted their share of added maps and more, when the Content Collection #1 will at last be released on May 8. Since the Elite platform is still not available for PC, these gamers are the last to receive these DLCs as they have already been released, first for the Xbox 360 and then for the PS3.

Shacknews has confirmed that Content Collection #1 will indeed be making its way to PC in May. This will be the first chunk of add-on content hitting the PC version of the much loved game. It will comprise a total of four multiplayer maps and two Spec Ops missions. The maps include Black Box, Piazza, Overwatch and Liberation, while the Spec Ops missions are called Black Ice and Negotiator. The Content Collection #1 was first made available for Xbox 360 gamers in January, and then for PS3 owners in April.

CoD: Modern Warfare 3 was released back in November, 2011 for multiple platforms that also include the Wii. This first-person shooter acts as a direct sequel to Modern Warfare 2, and is the eighth installment in the Call of Duty series. After its launch, it achieved the distinction of selling 6.5 million copies in just 24 hours, whereas within sixteen days, it had already generated 1 billion USD in revenue.

Gamers looking forward to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection #1 dropping onto PC will have to till May 8 to download it. Its pricing is yet to be confirmed.
