One of the most eagerly awaited games is Spore but many gamers were left disappointed when last year it had emerged that the game was delayed. However now Maxis and Electronic Arts (EA) have announced that Spore will be out in September 2008. The game has been made by the creators of The Sims.
Spore will have a very interesting gameplay. It will offer gamers their own personal universe in a box. The aim of the game is to generate and evolve life as well as set up tribes, build civilizations and mold entire worlds. Not only that, gamers can even explore a universe created by other gamers. Besides that, Spore will include lots of creative tools to customize almost every characteristic of their universe like creatures, vehicles, buildings, and even UFOs. Gamers will be able to share their creations.
Will Wright is the chief designer at Maxis. He commented, “The wait is almost over. We are in our final stages of testing and polish with Spore, and the team at Maxis can’t wait to see the cosmos of content created by the community later this year.”
Spore will be released on the Nintendo DS, PC, Macintosh and the mobile platforms. The game is scheduled to be available at retailers worldwide on the weekend of September 7, 2008.
