It happened with Gears of War, it was a sure shot that the same thing would happen with Mass Effect! Now developers BioWare have sent word that they are bringing their action role playing game to the PC platform. It is expected to have optimized controls designed specially for the PC.
Ray Muzyka is the general manager at BioWare and vice president for Electronic Arts. He explains, “Mass Effect serves as a powerful example of video games as an art form, delivering new levels of emotional intensity, realistic characters and a gripping storyline – all set in a compelling new universe.”
The PC version of Mass Effect will have highly detailed textures, characters as well as environments. The action game will let gamers allocate biotic powers or skills to ‘hot keys’. There is even a decryption mini-game. The action game will feature an improved inventory system, which makes it simple for gamers to modify as well as equip their armor and weapons.
Mass Effect for PC will be published by Electronic Arts. The game is expected to release in May 2008. After Xbox 360, the game is being released on the PC, but it would be a nice thing if Mass Effect is released on the PS3 as well as the Nintendo Wii. In fact, they can even get a spin-off of the action RPG on the handhelds, especially the Nintendo DS.
