Blizzard has announced that the World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade has sold about 3.5 million copies inside one month. Nearly 1.6 million copies of the Burning Crusade were sold in Europe while 1.9 million were sold in North America. The rest of them were sold in Australasia territory.

World of Warcraft’s worldwide subscriber base has now increased to more than 8.5 million. The Burning Crusade had sold a record-breaking 2.4 million copies worldwide in its first 24 hours of launch. Blizzard is at present working with its partners to localize the content into Simplified and Traditional Chinese for mainland China and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.
