Enhanced Developer Licensing and Support Model for PhysX SDK announced by AGEIA

AGEIA Technologies has sent word that they have come up with an expanded licensing and support model to better serve the needs of the quickly growing developer base. The new model is improved and has been made to better support the industry’s most advanced and flexible physics platform.

AGEIA PhysXHere’s what the new model by AGEIA comprises of:

  • AGEIA PhysX SDK binaries continued to be offered royalty free
  • AGEIA PhysX SDK source code licensed at US$50,000 per application
  • Comprehensive support model which encompasses game profiling and optimization for console’ multi-core and PPU augmented with both off-site and on-site support options
  • Manju Hedge, CEO, AGEIA says, “We are proud to see the heightened acceptance and recognition of PhysX in the gaming marketplace. By drawing on the AGEIA support during the game development process, developers will be able to exploit the power of physics that will lead to new and innovative physics implementations that many of us haven’t even yet thought of.”

    It is true, AGEIA PhysX is gaining a lot of popularity. In fact, more than 75 games are using PhysX technology across leading gaming platforms such as PS3, Wii, Xbox 360 and the PC. NetDevil’s forthcoming game, Warmonger, Operation: Downtown Destruction is powered by the AGEIA PhysX processor.
