Well, the end is near for the Hanabi festival and Nintendo sure has a great lineup for the European Wii gamers! Sin And Punishment, Gradius III and Legend of Hero Tonma will be available on the European Virtual Console.
Details of games on the European VC:
The first game is Sin And Punishment (1200 Wii Points), which was first released in 2000 on the Nintendo 64. The 3D third-person shooter game sees gamers take the role of a young resistance fighter facing an assault of bio-genetic monsters called Ruffians, who were originally bred to improve declining food stocks on Earth, have turned against their creators and are trying to take over! Gamers will have to fight their way across land, sea and skies collecting energy, time and point bonuses as they go. Also, some in-game text has been translated into English, especially for this Hanabi Festival release.
Then we have, Gradius III (900 Wii Points), debuted in 1990 on the Super NES. This side-scrolling shooter by Konami sees gamers grab control of their Vic Viper Starfighter and take on the armadas of the Bacterion Empire. The game features ten levels to fight through as well as an assortment of different weapons.
As for the non “Hanabi Festival” offering, we have Legend of Hero Tonma (600 Wii Points). This platform shooter sees gamers play as Tonma, a trainee magician who must release a princess from prison, using magic spells to fight giant bosses and work their way through seven stages riddled with treasure chests and unusual power-ups!
Legend of Hero Tonma was released earlier this week on the American VC. Nintendo has also reminded gamers to get Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels as it would only be available till tomorrow. Sin And Punishment, Gradius III and Legend of Hero Tonma now join the list of 141 classic titles already available for European VC.
