Rovio Angry Birds hurled into Chrome Web Store

Whoever thought that feathered critters were anything to fear until now. The official Rovio blog has been alerting everyone to the news that Angry Birds has invaded the Google Chrome Web Store.

Angry Birds Chrome

The game has been released as a beta version and extends seven special Chrome levels. Apart from these, there are sixty-three levels which lay claim to being part of the original title, of course. And Rovio has topped it off by informing fans that more levels are yet to arrive.

Those who don’t mind catapulting the birds at the green pigs with the help of a mouse can even play it on another compatible browser like Firefox. Whether it’s just as fun on a non-touchscreen interface is a matter of personal opinion though. There’s money involved as well. The Mighty Eagle character is expected to be out as an in-app purchase option very soon.

Angry Birds for Chrome comes in SD as well as HD editions.
