Every week since Steam launched for Mac, Valve has been adding more titles for the platform on its online content delivery service, and last week Mac users got Half-Life 2 and Episode One. This week Valve has announced that Team Fortress 2 has hit Steam for Mac and is now available on the platform.
Just like all the titles that Valve has brought to the Mac platform earlier, Team Fortress 2 on Steam for Mac will feature Steam Play which will allow players to purchase the game and play it on both PC and Mac platforms. Team Fortress 2 will support cross-platform play allowing PC and Mac gamers to play with or against each other.
Steam users can now try the game via the Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend or purchase the game on either platform for half price over the weekend. Mac users who play the game will receive a free set of “earbuds” for their player character. In addition, a new single-player training mode has been added in for both PC and Mac. The game is available for 9.99 USD over the weekend.
