Sega Master System Support Added on Wii Virtual Console

The Virtual Console has one amazing catalog of classic games. Besides games from Nintendo Entertainment System and SNES, there are titles from Genesis and SNK’s Neo Geo. Now it has emerged that Nintendo will be adding support for the Sega Master System in February 2008.

The first game is based on the renowned Fist of the North Star anime series. It was first released in 1986. The Fist of the North Star game will come with a price tag of 600 points. The other game that will be rolled out after it will be Fantasy Zone, a classic shooter that debuted in 1986. However, it will be cheaper, as Fantasy Zone will cost 500 points.

The only thing is that these Sega Master System will be released in Japan only. There is no information whether the support will be extended to the North American Virtual Console. Besides Sega Master System, gamers can also look forward to support for MSX, which was announced earlier, but is yet to be rolled out.
