The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess could soon get an HD version for the Wii U

Looks like that day is not too far away when we’ll see Nintendo officially announcing The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD for the Wii U console. A few clues suggesting this possible outcome for the Wii and GameCube original have been spotted online.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will be a great way for Nintendo to keep fans busy until the ultra-grand Zelda game for the Wii U comes out in 2016. Two days ago, a fan came across an eShop icon for Twilight Princess that was hidden deep within the site.

This started the suspicion, but we have now been greeted by a sort of a confirmation as well. The words ‘Twilight Princess HD’ have been seen on Nintendo’s eShop servers, as revealed by Eurogamer.

Twilight Princess

The original The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was released by Nintendo for the Wii console in November 2006 and for the GameCube in December of the same year. It was the thirteenth main installment to the series, and featured the same action-adventure gameplay that previous titles are known for.

Its story has its focus set on protagonist Link trying to prevent Hyrule from being submerged into a corrupted parallel dimension known as the Twilight Realm. In order to do so, he must take the forms of both a Hylian and a wolf and even get some assistance from a mysterious creature named Midna.
