Disney has a few games under its belt such as Disney Stitch Jam expected in March and Epic Mickey coming this year to the Wii. Now Disney Interactive Studios has announced Disney Guilty Party, which is a family-friendly mystery party game in development exclusively for the Wii. The game is being developed by Widelaod Games, the Chicago studio of Disney Interactive Studios, and is expected to hit the Wii in the second half of 2010.
“Mysteries are one of the world’s most beloved forms of storytelling, and Guilty Party brings mysteries to Wii in a way that the whole family can play together,” Tom Kang, studio head and general manager, Wideload Games said. “Everyone loves a good mystery, especially when they get to be the detective.”
The game puts players in the Dickens family as they work together to explore crime scenes and play mini-games. They must collect clues and interrogate suspects. The game turns the Wii Remote into various items including magnifying glasses, flashlights, lock-picks, a fingerprint kit, and more. The game takes the Dickens family around the world as it tracks Mr. Valentine.
“We’re packing an amazing amount of play-time into a single game,” Patrick Curry, game director, Wideload Games commented. “Guilty Party is a bit like a board game, since families can play each mystery over and over again and never have the same experience twice.”

Disney Guilty Party is the first new franchise developed by Wideload Games for Disney Interactive Studios, and the game’s characters have been inspired by classic detective lore.
