Epic Mickey is an upcoming video game that features the iconic and lovable Disney character Mickey Mouse. The title is being fashioned specially for the Nintendo Wii console. Now according to Disney’s Graham Hopper, it seems like we can expect Epic Mickey to scamper onto other gaming platforms as well.
According to Gamasutra, Disney’s game executive Graham Hopper stated in an interview, “We have a very large audience base that has Wiis in their home.” He however further went on to add, “That’s not to say that we won’t go to other platforms (in the future).” No word yet on exactly which consoles the Disney exec was hinting at.
Epic Mickey is designed by Warren Spector and developed by Junction Point Studios. With the upcoming offering, Disney is once again brought fresh into the minds of not only kids and fans of the memorable cartoon characters but also to gamers. The title is slated to gather together Mickey Mouse, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Yen Sid into Cartoon Wasteland.
Epic Mickey is expected to hit the Wii by Q1 2010 although the prices are still tightly under wraps for now.
