One of Disney’s most loveable aliens Experiment 626 or fondly called by Lilo as Stitch is once again popping his little blue head into video games. This time Disney Interactive Studios has put the adorable experiment in a brand new game entitled Disney Stitch Jam. The game is a rhythm-based music and adventure title fashioned specially for the Nintendo DS.
The company is set to bring to fans another gaming adventure featuring Stitch who was first spied in the Walt Disney Pictures ‘Lilo & Stitch’ back in 2002. Stitch was born as a genetic experiment and was later banished from his planet but later ended up in Hawaii. The story sees Stitch’s girlfriend Angel being kidnapped by the evil Dr. Hamsterviel. He must journey through music-based missions in order to finally defeat his nemesis.
“Disney Stitch Jam will deliver a brand new set of adventures for a beloved Disney character who has been a fan favorite for years. Filled with catchy music, dynamic characters and fun environments, this new DS game will offer great content for kids with a high replay value,” commented Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios.
Disney Stitch Jam incorporates intuitive side-scrolling gameplay which is set to appeal to younger audiences. They can either opt for button controls or employment of the stylus. Kids have to shoot and gather musical notes in order to traverse through 10 action-packed missions. Disney Stitch Jam also includes co-operative gameplay elements as two players can play via download without having the need to use another game cartridge.
Through the special customization feature, little gamers can adorn Stitch with a variety of costumes as well as accessories that are unlockable during gameplay. Disney Stitch Jam consists of a plethora of original music specially created for the DS game. The latest title is set in exciting and exotic locations ranging from the far reaches of outer space to the sandy tropical beaches as well as the frozen city and the dense forest.
Disney Stitch Jam is developed by Cattle Call and is expected to make it into stores by March 2010. The price of the E rated game is still under wraps by the company.
