Lately, we’ve been hearing a lot from the house of Nintendo. After revealing a string of titles for the Wii at this year’s Nintendo Conference 2010, the company has now devised a way to turn the heat on during house parties. The gaming giant has unleashed a new title dubbed Wii Party in North America, infused with a set of party games, minigames and several group activities.

Be it a graduation party or an uncle’s 80th birthday celebration, gamers can jump into action with the Wii Remote controller in their Mii avatar to garner cheers and splash red hue around the town. The title dishes out old school games such as bingo and board games with a new twist as it also unrolls interactive challenges on the screen. With over 13 party games and more than 80 minigames, players can immerse in a fun-filled environment on the Wii platform.
“When people get together for the holidays, they look for things that everyone in the family can enjoy,” explained Marc Franklin, Nintendo of America’s Director of Public Relations. “Wii Party delivers hours and hours of fun for everybody in the household, from the kids to grandma and grandpa. It’s yet another way in which the Wii system offers maximum entertainment at an unbeatable value.”
Wii Party unfurls three categories of games namely Easy-to-learn, Pair and House games for every occasion. The first group of games allows up to four players to enjoy light hearted activities while the second category embraces cooperative and competitive amusement for two players simultaneously. House Party games allow the entire room to indulge in fun with the Wii Remote controller.
To add zing into their next bash, North American gamers can now bring home Wii Party for their console.
