At this year’s Nintendo Conference, the gaming giant made numerous announcements regarding some of its upcoming titles. Back in September, we had reported about the Super Mario Collection Special Pack which was unveiled at the convention. The company also highlighted three new titles dubbed Donkey Kong Country Returns, The Last Story and Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword along with the Wii Remote Plus during the event.
Kicking off with a retro flavor, the Donkey Kong Country series is on its way back to the gaming domain. The side-scrolling action game will be released this winter for the Nintendo Wii in Donkey Kong Country Returns. In addition, a new game titled The Last Story will be unleashed for the platform on January 27, 2011. This RPG has been developed in partnership with Hironobu Sakaguchi from Mist Walker.
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has been plugged to be an action-based RPG. Crafted to make optimum use of Wii MotionPlus, the title is expected to deliver superior gratification for gamers. Whereas the Wii Remote Plus is currently being sculpted to integrate both the conventional remote of the console as well as the Wii MotionPlus software which is scheduled for a 2011 release.
We’ve not heard official word on the pricing and availability details of the Wii Remote Plus yet. However, the company has announced that it will reveal more information regarding the controller on a later date.
