Recently, we uncovered some announcements relating to the 3DS made at the Nintendo Conference 2010. The official Nintendo website has now divulged about the Super Mario Collection Special Pack which was revealed at the event. Based on the popular Super Mario Bros. series, this pack will mix a retro flavor into the modern day gaming arena.
This Special Pack has been crafted with the inclusion of a software title released in 1993 dubbed Super Mario Collection. The assortment incorporates the original Super Mario Bros., Super Mario bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario Bros. USA.
The latest package compiles a booklet and soundtrack CD titled Super Mario History, 1985 to 2010. The CD boasts of 10 music pieces from all the Super Mario titles with numerous sound effects and more. The booklet covers the franchise’s 25-year long history and highlights some unreleased materials including the initial development planning sheets of the title.
It has also been disclosed that a special Super Mario 25th edition of Nintendo DSi XL will be released in the second half of next month. Gamers can also enjoy two new titles from the franchise which includes a Wii game titled Mario Sports Mix. The other title referred to as Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! has been developed for the Nintendo DS.
The 25th edition Super Mario Nintendo DSi XL will be launched on October 28, 2010. Mario Sports Mix and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! have been slated for a November 25, 2010 and December 2, 2010 release, respectively.
