In July last year Ubisoft announced that Red Steel 2, the first person shooter title for the Wii console had been delayed. In February this year, Creative Director for Red Steel 2, Jason Vandenberghe said that it was of utmost importance that Red Steel 2 be a success or else there would be no Red Steel 3. That would mean that, if at all, Red Steel 3 would go into development only after Red Steel 2 comes out and is well-received by fans, right?
Well, The Lost Gamer is reporting that Vandenberghe has confirmed that the development team has jumped directly into the development of its next game. The Web site says that Vandenberghe has updated his Facebook profile with a post that goes, “What an incredibly overloaded couple of weeks. You know what happens when you finish a video game? You start working on another one, that’s what!!”
Whether that game is Red Steel 3 is not known as the creative director hasn’t dropped any hints as to what the other game is.
