Last week, we had reported about new games that would be hitting the Nintendo consoles, that is the Wii and the DS. The new Nintendo Wii Channel will be launched along with the WiiWare service in the United States. Cammie Dunaway, who is the VP at Nintendo America mentioned that if a user has played a WiiWare game for at least an hour, they will be able to review the game on the Nintendo Channel. Also, the reviews will be up for other Wii owners to read.

Reggie Fils-Aime is the president of Nintendo of America. He said that as Nintendo will not be offering free demo versions of WiiWare games, the channel will let customers get a feel for games and thereby help them make purchasing decisions. In fact, some of the features of the channel will be integrated with the games-on-demand service.

WiiWare is expected to be out next month and North American gamers can expect this new channel around that time. The channel was launched in Japan last year in November. It also offered streaming web video content like interviews with Wii game designers. Gamers can also expect lists of forthcoming DS and Wii games that can be sorted out by the publisher, genres and release dates. And yes, the DS game demos can be transmitted wirelessly to the handheld via the Wii.
