Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call announced for western release this year

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call is not a Japan-exclusive anymore, for its makers have revealed that it will be landing on North American shores later this year for the 3DS. Other regions, particularly Europe have been left out of its launch purview at the moment for some reason. This sequel to 2012’s much appreciated rhythm-based role-playing game is set to be doled out in Japan this month itself.

Square Enix has announced that the game’s developers have infused it with 200 songs and more than 60 playable characters from the Final Fantasy franchise. These also include content from the two latest releases, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. It will feature a new versus battle mode, allowing you to compete against others in head-to-head matches. Moreover, it will even grab a fresh quest medley mode. This mode will present short bursts of songs from the Final Fantasy catalog and offer unique quests for players to complete.
