Nintendo 3DS XL Released in UK

With the biggest screen ever on a Nintendo handheld console, the Nintendo 3DS XL has been launched in the UK by the Japanese company. Now available with 90 percent bigger screens than those of the earlier model, this hardware has been released alongside two new games – New Art Academy and Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive!

The new 3DS XL can be purchase by gamers in the UK in three color combinations that include silver and black, red and black in addition to blue and black. Overall, this device is said to be 46 percent bigger than its earlier version. The 3D screen on its upper side measures in at 4.88-inches, while the one at the bottom is sized to 4.18-inches. Its altered battery now provides juice for six hours and 30 minutes, instead of the earlier five hours.

New Art Academy: Learn New Painting Techniques and Share your Art, which releases along with the device, enables gamers to learn new drawing and painting techniques as well as experience new art materials. They will even be able to share their creations with family and friends. Next, Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive!, has been described as an expanded version of original game which was released through the eShop last year. It lets players create and customize creatures according to their tastes.

The Nintendo 3DS XL can now be purchased in the UK at a price of 174.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 15,230). In North America, this handheld is supposed to launch on August 19, 2012 alongside the much awaited New Super Mario Bros. 2.
