Nintendo 3DS System Update Delayed, Arriving on December 8

The highly awaited Nintendo 3DS system update, which is set to provide the device with video recording capabilities has been met with a holdup and will now be released on December 8, 2011. It was earlier confirmed by Nintendo that this download would land on the 3DS sometime in November, but a new announcement has revealed that the update is still in its final stages of internal testing.

Capturing of 3D footage using the 3DS camera will soon be made possible with this system upgrade. This trait will endow the device with up to 10 minutes of recording time. Moreover, gamers would also have the ability to generate their own 3D stop-motion animation videos with the 3DS camera, owing to this update.

This download is also planned to introduce new content to the StreetPass Mii Plaza. It comprises new puzzles in the Puzzle Swap section as well as a new dungeon in the StreetPass Quest. Furthermore, Find Mii II is also said to be a part of this update.

Swapping of downloaded content and other data between different 3DS systems too will be possible after gamers download this new system upgrade. 3DS users are also anticipating Mario Kart 7, which will be outed for the device on December 4. Apart from all the traits found in the previous games in the series, this title would also kick in hang-gliding attachments for karts and the ability to drive underwater.
