Nintendo 3DS Gets Pokemon Rumble Blast

Pokemon Rumble Blast which is a successor to 2009’s WiiWare title Pokemon Rumble is all geared up to be the franchise’s first game for the Nintendo 3DS. The game features wind-up Toy Pokemon clashing with each other in real-time battles.

Players must advance through the various stages of this game while facing many Toy Pokemon at once. Boss Pokemon are bigger in size and present different challenges. Several defeated Pokemon can be acquired by players in addition to their own ‘special toy Pokemon’ with their own distinctive skills. Users can collect over 600 Pokemon and toggle between them through the course of the game. Creatures from the recent Pokémon Black and Pokémon White Versions are also available in the game.

“Pokemon Rumble Blast delivers instant Pokemon gratification. The controls are intuitive and simple enough for anyone to pick up and play, while new battle modes, more than 600 Toy Pokemon and social play opportunities offer deep experiences for longtime fans,” revealed, Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing.

Co-op modes are also offered by this game for gamers to play along with their friends by using a local wireless connection. Moreover, holders of the Nintendo 3DS StreetPass get an additional feature which enables them to battle with toy Pokémon of players they meet anywhere and also view their players’ Mii characters through the game.

Gamers will be able to lay their hands on Pokemon Rumble Blast on their Nintendo 3DS handhelds from October 24, 2011.
